Yevgen Samborsky's video work "Expedition" refers to the practice of children's games in the factory. The artist refers to his personal experience related to the period of the collapse of the Soviet Union, when due to lack of funds the construction of industrial facilities began to be suspended and existing production facilities were closed. Having become abandoned areas, many of them lost their original function and became a place for spontaneous visits, including by children. In his video, Samborsky reproduces the children's research, impressive in its scale industrial zone of Metrobud.
The artist creates inconspicuous and sometimes poetic gestures, original children's rituals endowed with special symbolism - burns found feathers and dried tree branches, blows the fluff in the wind, leaves memorable inscriptions on factory parts etc.
